Brownsville’s festive ambience sets the mood for an exciting and fun vacation for the whole family. From our Charro Days festivities in February, to our Latin Jazz Festival in October, it’s no wonder Brownsville is Always a Fiesta!
Our spring-time version of Oktoberfest will once again feature a winning combination of German draft beers, live German Polka & American rock music, German food, and entertainment for all ages.
Our Volksfest, meaning people’s festival, is kid friendly! Starting at 3pm, we will have activities for your young ones! Dance performances, games, and German drinking chants will get us going into the night, ending at 11pm.
Regular admission is $15 and includes a printed glass beer mug and one free beer. However, your beer ticket can also be used for wine or food, if you prefer. Free admission for ages 18 and under!

Go Hog Wild at Moody Clinic’s second Wild Game Dinner benefiting children with special needs in the Brownsville community.
The evening will bring you an array of sizzling wild game cuisine prepared by talented local chefs. Specialty drinks will be available for all attendees. Enjoy live music by Mr. Whiskey and kick up your heels at the end of the night with a DJ. A blackboard auction will also be held with one of a kind items.
One hundred percent of the proceeds provide services to children in need of physical, occupational and speech/language therapy who cannot afford the full or partial cost of treatment. The City of Brownsville Parks and Recreation Department Retired…Now What program is designed to meet the needs of today’s active 50+ community. All the actives are fun, safe, and easy for any level. The cost to register and participate is free, and you decide on which activities you want to participate in. The program always meets at the Downtown Rec Center.
Retired…Now what is your place and your time. It is a safe place to enjoy life, learn how to do the things you always dreamed you could do, and make friends.

Brownsville Beerfest invites you to “Gringo De Mayo”, an avocado inspired bites and margarita sampling event.
