Traces of Civilization @ Historic Brownsville Museum | Brownsville | Texas | United States

The Historic Brownsville Museum will hold “Traces of Civilization,” an exhibition by Chinese-born Peruvian artist Jonas Han Chong, from July 31 to August 12. This is a collection of his most recent work, which is rooted on deconstructing the human experience and the impact of civilization. The opening night will be on Friday, July 31 at 6pm.

Jonas Han Chong obtained a B.A. in Fine Arts from the People’s Liberation Army Arts College, the most coveted Fine Arts School in Beijing. He’s had one-person exhibitions in different countries and his work has been bought by art collectors from France, United States, China, Hong Kong, and Peru. Two of his paintings had been featured and sold at PolyAuction, Beijing’s most famous art auction. He resides in Lima, Peru, since 1990.
