Saturday Safari: Herbivores vs. Carnivores @ South Texas Discovery Education Center, Gladys Porter Zoo | Brownsville | Texas | United States

Enroll your child for Saturday morning fun at the Zoo. You can join, too! The teeth of an animal can tell us a lot about their diet. Sharp teeth are needed to eat meat while flat teeth are best for grinding leaves and stems of plants. Come discover what kind of teeth are in the jaws of some of the Zoo’s animals. Students will have plenty of hands-on activities to make each class educational and memorable. A Zoo tour, arts & crafts, animal encounter and snacks are included in each class. Cost is $15 per child or adult with a $5 discount for Zoo members. Pre-registration is required. Space is limited to 16 students ages 4 years and up. Call 956-548-WILD (9453) to register or for more information or e-mail educ@gpz.org.
