Visit our exhibit exploring the development and defining borders of Brownsville through maps and aerial photographs. This exhibit will display an array of maps, from early settlements of Brownsville to modern times, illustrating not only the growth of our city but the evolution of map making and geographical accuracy. Some of the more notable illustrations to be put on display include maps of Fort Brown along with that of the Mexican-American war, Cameron County map defining land grants, State of Texas maps, Sanborn Maps, and other portrayals of Brownsville. Take a trip through time with maps of the development of the Brownsville area.
