Beginning June 21st, The Camille Playhouse will host weekly performances of a theatrical adaptation of the Disney classic Mulan.

The production aims to be an entertaining theater experience that is fun for the entire family. Featuring a cast composed of the Playhouse’s summer guest artists, the show faithfully follows the plot and features all songs from the 1998 Disney animated feature film. Scheduled to run concurrently with the Children’s China exhibit hosted by the Children’s Museum of Brownsville, Camille’s stage performances will add a theatrical touch to the overall theme and lively festivities.

“We have a fantastic cast ready to pour their hearts into performing the wonderful story and musical pieces of Mulan,” said Chris Ikner, Executive Artistic Director of the Camille Playhouse. “We’re looking forward to putting on a memorable show that honors and celebrates Chinese culture through the legend of Mulan and her heroic deeds.”

The first performance is set to premiere on Wednesday, June 21st, with additional performances running every Wednesday until August 6th. For more information, please contact the Camille Playhouse at (956) 542-8900.
