*Saturdays the months of April to June*
Join us on a guided walk to learn about our native habitat and find out who of our “Rio Grande Valley Specialty Birds” can be spotted. This walk is for all visitors, young or old who wants to learn about wildlife, the park, and its bird life. Bring water, one-hour easy trail walk.
This weekly survey allows birders a chance to find birds in their wild habitat, and by logging the bird list on the internet, allows future visitors to find out who’s flying and when!
Bring: Water, good walking/hiking shoes, appropriate weather attire and your sense of adventure. Optional items: Sunscreen, bug spray, snacks, and hiking sticks.
Meet: Check in at the Visitor Center to register and any pertinent instructions will be given at this time.
Regular park entrance fees apply ($4 per person; 12 years & younger are free). There is no extra fee for this program.
In the event of inclement weather, this program will be canceled.
