Belden West Brownsville Cycle and Pedestrian Trail

The City of Brownsville, in partnership with the Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation (BCIC), Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB), _bcWORKSHOP [bc], and Healthy Communities of Brownsville, Inc. (HCB) will host the Belden Connect & Resaca Restoration Celebration Ride at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2016, at the Belden Trail, behind the Palm Village Shopping Center.
The Belden Connect & Resaca Restoration Celebration Ride will feature:
- a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, celebrating completion of the Belden Connect project and the Old Cemetery Resaca Restoration Project;
- a Celebration Ride touring the Belden Trail, the Old Cemetery Resaca Restoration Project, and the City Cemetery Bird Blind Project, made possible by HCB, United Eco-Skies, Texas Southmost College Architecture Program students, and [bc];
- bike rentals provided by the City Public Health Department and City of Brownsville Parks & Recreation Department and
- the Brownsville Farmers’ Market (Mobile Market).
The community is invited to celebrate completion of the Belden Connect project and the Old Cemetery Resaca Restoration Project. Residents are encouraged to arrive by 8:30 a.m. to rent a bike for the Celebration Ride, scheduled to follow the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.
