The Brownsville Historical Association, inviting you to join them at 7th annual Taste of Texas event. This year’s theme is Taste of Texas: BBQ at the Ranch, which will take place on Saturday, March 25, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. at the Historic Laureles Ranch House Museum located in Linear Park.

March is Texas History Month and for the last six years, the BHA has explored a unique part of Texas’ history and culture through its tastings. In past years, we have introduced the importance the Lone Star state has had in the wine industry, both abroad and stateside, and our guests and have enjoyed the expertise of sommeliers and vineyard owners. For the second year in a row, the SHA is proud to announce that wine isn’t the only “star” in this year’s tasting. Select beers and spirits brewed and distilled right here in Texas will also be part of the tasting and all drinks will be complimented by traditional Texas foods provided by local artisans, vendors, and chefs.

Guests will be able to stroll through the Historic Laureles Ranch House Museum in the park, try the many drinks and food options available, talk with experts, and enjoy a crisp spring evening with fellow enthusiasts. Also, “Mr. Whiskey”, South Texas’ premier bluegrass music group and the only full-time bluegrass band in the Rio Grande Valley, will be performing on the front porch of the  historic home.

As a sponsor of this event, you will receive reserved seating, signage displayed at the event, listing on the event program, plus recognition on all press releases, flyers, postcards and social media. We look forward to administering this program for the Brownsville community and would like to thank you for your support.
