Tune up your wing-shooting skills before hunting season at the Annual Whitewing Tune-Up Shoot on Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Loma Alta Trap & Skeet Club, 500 Old Port Isabel Rd., in Brownsville.   Proceeds endow the Jerome “Jerry” Jokl Educational Scholarship Fund whose scholarships are awarded to area college-bound students each year, with over $250,000.00 having been awarded since 1985.

Entry fee includes participation in a multi-station sporting clay course, BBQ meal, refreshments and lots of door prizes, like ice chests, wine basket, shotgun shells and beach gear.  Additional BBQ plates – $10.00.  Adult fee includes Calcutta entry with $1,500.00 guaranteed payout!  Annie Oakley shooting contest following the event.

Event Schedule:

  • 8 AM. – 10 AM. – Check-in and Late Registration
  • 9 AM. – Instruction to Participants & Shooting Commencement

Practice rounds available on Wednesday prior from 5 PM. until closing, at a special $6.00 per round and the day of the event.   No experience is necessary as we have knowledgeable clay target shooters who will instruct you!

**Raffle – tickets available now from club members at $10 each for guns, camera, beach gear etc.!  (300 total tickets available).
