BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS – AUGUST 3, 2017 – The City of Brownsville will be on display at the 2017 State Fair of Texas in Dallas, Texas on October 14, 2017. This involvement provides the Brownsville Convention & Visitors Bureau (BCVB) with an excellent opportunity to share all there is to see and do with attendees of the Fair. Data has shown that there is a significant interest in Brownsville from the Dallas-Fort Worth Area as well as throughout the state.
While the BCVB attends various local travel expos throughout the year, this will be the largest exhibition they attend. On the same Saturday in 2016, over 175,000 people visited the fair with a total of over 2 million people during the 24-day period. This proved to be the most successful year in State Fair of Texas history. The BCVB will be present at the GO TEXAN Pavilion giving out brochures and answering any questions people may have of Brownsville.
The Brownsville Convention & Visitors Bureau was established to promote leisure and business travel to the beautiful city of Brownsville, TX. The BCVB works to raise awareness for tourists and travel professionals by organizing events and promoting the city’s historical significance, semi-tropical climate, bi-cultural ambiance, art, zoo, museums, sporting venues, and other area attractions as a major tourist destination to benefit hotels, restaurants, local events, and the local economy in general.
