Brownsville Convention & Visitors Bureau Will Host Rally on November 23rd to support Small Business Saturday®

Brownsville, TX, November 19, 2015 November 28 marks the sixth annual Small Business Saturday, a day dedicated to supporting the local businesses that create jobs, boosts the economy and preserves neighborhoods around Brownsville. American Express created Small Business Saturday in 2010 in response to small business owners’ most pressing need: more customers.

To kick off our Small Business Saturday, the Brownsville Convention & Visitors Bureau (BCVB) will host a Shop Small Rally on November 23rd from 4:006:00 pm at our Scale House Visitors Center located at 1700 E. 6th Street in the Mitte Cultural District.  The event will showcase our local independent business owners and the services they offer. We invite everyone to stop by to support local businesses and receive Shop Small® giveaways like tote bags, buttons and balloons.

The Brownsville Convention & Visitors Bureau was established to promote leisure and business travel to Brownsville and to increase awareness for the city as a vacation destination.

Small business owners that would like to participate in our rally can contact Felix Espinosa at (956) 546-3721 or for more information. Consumers can find a list of participating businesses on the BCVB website
