The TACVB hosts its Annual Conference that allows travel and convention professionals from Convention & Visitors Bureaus throughout the state to discuss education, networking, promotional idea inspiration and related topics. In addition, attendees take part in an “Idea Fair” competition where each city presents idea boards displaying the different programs and campaigns they have created over the past year to promote their city to leisure travelers and meeting planners. Members vote on a winning entry for each of the eight categories including: Advertising, Convention Promotion, Web Site, Local Awareness Campaigns, Cooperative Marketing, Videos/DVD, Tourism Promotion and Sports Marketing.

“It’s a proud moment for our organization and Brownsville in general to be recognized by our peers across the state for our ideas, creativity and all the hard work that goes into the campaigns we produce to promote our city,” said Mariano “Bean” Ayala, President CEO of the Brownsville Convention & Visitors Bureau.
